With space and labor at a premium, warehousing and distribution professionals constantly strive for affordable automation and facility efficiency. The HK4000/D SRM from HK Systems offers both, in pallet storage environments.
Unitload Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS) remains the de facto solution for maximum speed and accessibility for storing pallets from 1 to 3 locations deep in a rack system using a telescoping shuttle table. However, when your product profile in terms of SKUs, volume, and turns is conducive to storing 4 or more locations deep, the HK4000/D SRM could very well provide you an optimum combination of speed, accessibility and deep lane density.
The HK4000/D is a vast improvement on the proven concept of applying self-powered carriers for in-rack pallet transportation and using Storage and Retrieval Machines (S/RMs) for vertical and down-aisle motion. The HK4000/D starts with the most called-upon unitload SRM in North America, the HK4000. In place of a telescoping shuttle table, the HK4000/D utilizes an autonomous powered carrier that leaves the carriage of the S/RM and moves pallet loads deep into and out of a hi-rise rack system. Systems can be configured in a LIFO design using an HK4000/D to store and retrieve from a rack system
